Online: Vercel

Create a Vercel account

Vercel is where your app will live on the internet. You open the account yourself, in your business's name, and pay Vercel directly. Your AI can't open it for you.

Why Pro, not the free plan

Vercel's free Hobby plan is only for personal projects, and an app for a business counts as commercial use. Pro is $20 a month for each person who builds or publishes the app. Team members who only look at it are free. You can try Pro free for 14 days.

Have these ready

  • Your business email address
  • A credit or debit card, for when the 14-day trial ends

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Vercel's sign-up page

    Go to vercel.com/signup.

You should see: Buttons to continue with Google, GitHub, ChatGPT or Apple, and to continue with email.

If it looks different: See a dashboard instead? Someone is already signed in on this browser. Sign out from the menu at the top right, or use another browser.

  2. Step 2: Sign up with your business email

If your business email is on Google, Continue with Google is quickest. Otherwise click Continue with Email, type your business email, and enter the six-digit code Vercel emails you.

You should see: Your Vercel dashboard. If it asks your name or a few questions first, answer them and carry on.

If it looks different: No Continue with Email? Click Show other options. No code after a minute? Check your junk or spam folder.

  3. Step 3: Create a team for your business, on the Pro trial

Click your name at the top left to open the team menu, then Create Team. Name it after your business and choose Pro Trial.

You should see: Your new team's dashboard, with its name at the top left. The trial lasts 14 days and includes $20 of usage.

If it looks different: Already used a trial with this account? Choose Pro instead and add your card.

  4. Step 4: Add a card for when the trial ends

In your business team, open Settings, then Billing, and add a payment method. Without one, the team drops to the free plan after 14 days, which isn't allowed for a business app.

You should see: Billing shows the Pro plan with your card on file.

That's all for now. When your AI is ready to put the app online, it asks first, then sends you to Connect Vercel with Claude.
